More Vintage Horror Radio Coming Soon
It's been far too long since the last episode of Vintage Horror Radio...Sorry! First it was holidays, then I was a bit under the weather, and of course all the other podcasts needed to be done! Excuses, excuses.
Anyway, just wanted to let everyone know I haven't forgotten about this site or the show. The next podcast will feature a story by Algernon Blackwood called Ancient Sorceries. Look for it over the next few days.

Algernon is very good.
Cool! Algernon Blackwood was one of the Greats!
From what I've read about
From what I've read about him, The Willows seems to be listed as one of his best. I'm still looking for an OTR version of that story (and others). Hopefully Ancient Sorceries proves itself a good one!
The Willows is very creepy.
I recently read The Willows because it was listed as one of the all time classic horror stories. It was rather long but very unsettling. It involves two men taking a row boat trip through an area of water that they are warned against. The weather forces them onto a small island where there is an entity that causes them to start to believe in the superstitions of the villages they passed through. The story is actually much deeper and more interesting that that description shows but I wouldn't want to spoil it any more than that. I'll just say that the entity (entities?) are unlike those that usually appear in horror fiction.
